Glossary Words

electromagnetic radiation: Energy that travels as waves or particles with the speed of light. E.g., the energy from the sun's core migrates to the surface and is released in the form of electromagnetic radiation.

remote sensing: Collection of Earth or ocean data from satellites by electromagnetic devices, utilizing various wavelengths of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum such as infrared and microwave.
